Once the seat of the significant Ukrainian Catholic community of the Detroit area, even had a parochial high school. Not sure how the current situation is there now.

It was right near SS Peter and Paul. I will have to get pics. I never did make it inside of St. John's.

ukrainiancatholic Member Member Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 784 USA	St. John's is still open and celebrated its 100th Anniversary in 2007. Their elementary school closed in the mid 1980's. Sts. Peter and Paul is around the corner and there is a large RC church next door that was a prominent Polish parish. Much of the neighborhood is Hispanic now. St. John's is a gem of the church with wonderful frescoes above the altar area.
